Boy what a day! And Gymnastics

Today we were supposed to go shopping with my Mom to get the stuff for Jon's birthday dinner and some gifts as well. We got up and got ready to go over to work out before shopping when my Mom called. She was getting the garage ready for our workout when she heard a "SNAP" in her leg and blinding pain followed. Luckily I was already ready to walk out the door. So we rushed out to Moms and found she had an appointment with her dr at 10:45. Just enough time to find sitters for the 2 kids and help Mom hobble to the car. She could barely walk. After we managed to get her down the stairs, I wheeled her to the car in a utility wagon. After some x-rays the Dr. said that Mom had 2 fractures in her lower leg and got her an appointment with an Orthopedic Dr. We picked up the kids and took Mom over to Dad's office so he could take her to her Orthopedic appointment. We made it home just in time for Naptime at 2ish. Not exactly how we had planned the day to go! I later found out that the ortho didn't think her leg was broken. He thought that she had torn a ligament. So I guess that is better? I don't really know. But now she has an Aircast and will for some time I imagine. Poor Mom!

The evening part of our day was much better. Ella had her very first Gymnastics lesson at Madison Gymnastics today. Since she is not yet 4, she is in a Mommy-and-me class until April. She was fabulous in her class, she was a good listener, followed directions and didn't goof off. She was so excited to be doing gymnastics again! Since I was busy being the "mommy" half of the mommy-and-me class I didn't get any pictures of her doing her class, but I did get some before and after. I am so excited to share my love of Gymnastics with Ella. My Gym classes are some of my greatest memories of childhood.
