Karate is fun!

This month in honor of Mother's day Ella's Karate school ran a special that let Moms train for free for the whole month. I have been wanting to try Karate ever since Ella started, it looked so fun! So I figured, why not? and decided to give it a try. I have had more fun in Karate class than I have had at any other physical activity since I played basket ball when I was in the 6th grade. It is a great workout, and it doesn't even feel like you are working out! I have learned so much in 6 lessons. Mr. Daniel is an amazing teacher (he is also Ella's teacher) as is Ms. Ashley. I am sad to see this month end. Due to circumstances, I can't keep going right now but I hope that someday soon I will be able to afford lessons and keep going! I am so glad that Ella can be in Karate, I know how much she has learned and improved, I am excited that I got to have a little taste of it too!! I only have 2 lessons left this month and I hope to make the most of them! Tonight Mr. Daniel let me get a picture of him with me, even though he doesn't like pictures. Here I am in my white belt! The pictures aren't that great, they were taken in dim lighting with my pocket cam, but at least I have some pictoral proof of my nighttime escapades! Photobucket Photobucket

A glimpse of summer to come!

Today we had a great summer day. Free, fun and wet! We love to go and hang out at Bridgestreet. We love the pop fountains! So today after working out at the Y we headed down to get wet. The kids had a blast playing in the water and with the other kids. When they were worn out, we had a picnic lunch and then headed over to the Carousel for more summer fun!! We are definitely getting Grandma's monies worth out of our Carousel passes. We rode three times before I started to get sick to my stomach. Then as a treat and a reward for fantastic behavior we stopped at the ice cream shop and had a treat! I can't wait to do this over and over again all summer! slip 'n' slide!

Yesterday we found a slip and slide at Aldi's for just 6 dollars and the kids had a blast getting wet! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

It was a run by fruiting!

Last night for our date Jon and I decided to do a slightly altruistic version of a "drive by fruiting". AFter Jon got home from work, we got to work making fruit bouquets. Jon had so much fun making me one for Mothers day that he suggested we do this as a date activity. It was a Blast! Cheaper than going out and a lot more talk time than our regular dates. It took us about 2 hours to make 2 arrangements. Then it was time to deliver them! We brought the smaller one to one of our neighbors, and then we hopped in the car to deliver the other. Wes was diagnosed with Strep and an ear infection that afternoon, so we dropped him off at Nana and Grandpa's house before dropping off the larger bouquet. Our friends were kind, and invited us in and we spent and hour or two chatting and eating our creation. It was a fantastic date! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Bowling!

Wes has been asking Nana to take him Bowling for a long time and today was the day! He was a perfect ANGEL the whole time. He bowled 3 1/2 games and then played in the arcade while the grown-ups finished. He was super supportive of all the bowlers, watching us roll and telling us. "Good Job!" after we went and counting our pins that were left. He gave out high fives and encouragement the whole time. He totally charmed the room. He was sweet to everyone and had a wonderful time. I love this boy! I also got a turkey in the last game and scored a 150! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Mothers Day present!

Today after my photoshoot I came home to find that Jon and the kids had made me a fantastic Mother's Day present! The kids helped spear the fruit and Jon made the arrangements. The bouquet was delicious! Thank you Honey, for a fantastic Mother's Day present. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Kindergarten Celebration

For the Kindergarten Celebration I was asked to take pictures of all the kindergarten kids in a cap and gown as a gift for their parents. The pictures turned out great! Here is my little Ella all growed up! Photobucket Photobucket

Another one bites the dust!

I did a tooth check for Ella tonight and when I wiggled her tooth it just popped out! Now she has no front teeth. She looks cute! But in this picture, she has crazy eyes! Photobucket
