Derby Lock-in

Elinor's Derby team had a team-building over night lock-in at a local church.  She had a wonderful time getting to know her teammates and staying up way to late and eating way too much junk.  She wasn't even scared at all to be away from her family for the night!

EllaGator's First Scrimmage!

Tonight Elinor got to skate in her first scrimmage with her roller derby team.  She loved playing, especially being the Jammer (point scorer).

Sushi!

Tonight Grandpa took us out to dinner tonight to one of his favorite restaurants.  They do half price sushi every Monday so grandpa bought us a TON of rolls to eat.  Yummy!

Valentines date!

Our friends Janet and Stephen from church invited us and some other couples from church to join them for a valentines date.  We went out to an Indian restaurant and then to see a movie.  The movie had technical difficulties and started almost an hour late.  Because of the issues the theater gave each person 2 free movie tickets to use later  So SCORE for us, 3 movies for the price of one!  We had a great time talking with our friends while we waited, it was an awesome date night.

Young Women's fundraiser and valentines dance

Today we went to the Young Women's fundraiser and Valentines dance.  We were a little sick, so we didn't' stay for the dance part, but the dinner was good!

Mommy gets a haircut and Grandpa takes us Skating

This morning I cut off all my curls and now I am sporting a new pixie cut.  I am LOVIN' it.  This evening Nana watched  Jamie while Grandpa took the rest of us roller skating.   Wes was scared at first but by the end he was skating a bit without the wall.  Ella of course was skating circles around the rest of us.  After we finished skating, Grandpa bought us some ice cream too.  Such a fun day!

Wesley's birthday

Today is Wesley's birthday.  We only do birthday parties every other year and Wes had an amazing Angry Birds party so this year it was just a family thing.  We let the kids choose a dinner and an activity and Wesley chose Cici's pizza and Chuck-e-cheeses.  He had a strawberry cake for dessert.  Jon wasn't feeling well, so he and James stayed home while Elinor and I took Wes out. first we opened presents and had cake at home, then we went out to dinner and C-e-C.  We got a TON of tickets and the kids were very happy with their loot.  ti was a good birthday.
