Shopping day

Today was pretty boring and low key.  We spent a few hours working at nanas and then we went grocery shopping and had lunch with daddy. In the evening elinor took her friend piper with her to the activity days end of year pool party. Tomorrow will be a fuller day.

Today we went back to the spkash pad, this time with different friends. It wasnt as fun as last time, because it was WAY more crowded but the kids still had fun.

Memorial day

Today is rained in the morning but when it let up grandpa decided he wanted to go to the botanical gardens and invited us to come along. We had a fun time looking at the animatronic dinosaurs, swinging in the hammoks, playing in the water and meeting the butterflies. James favorite part was when a bunch old wild turtles swam up to say hello to him. After the gardens grandpa tok us out to lunch at CiCis. Such a fun fun day!

Today after a delicious grilled di ner at nana and grandpas house grandpa got out some wiffel balls and played catch with james. James has a great throw, still needs to work on catching though. He had the best time with his grandpa.

Today i got a message early in the morning asking us if we wanted to walk over to burger king with grandpa and get some pancakes. That sounded awesome to everyone so around 8:30 we headed over. I dont eat pancakes so i had a sausage biscuit instead. All the kids had a great time stuffing their faces. We mostly spent the rest of the day on electronics, which i dont usually allow, but every once in a while we can rot our brains i guess

Schools out for the summer!

I told the big kids that if they cleaned the house by 10am that i would let them pick a fun activity to do for the first day of summer. They did a fantastic job and decided they wanted to go to a splash pad. I decided to take them to a new one they had never been to before and it was a huge hit. All of the kids just loved it. We will definitely be back this summer.

Last day of school!

Today was the last day of school. It was only a 1/2 day.  After the kids got home around 11:30, elinor's friend piper came over. The had a ton of fun with face and body painting. The really enjoyed using poor james as a canvas. At least he seemed to like it too. After they gave james a bath to wash him off we all, including piper, went for a walk with nana. When we got home i put hair wraps in the girls hair. It was a great afternooon.  Jon and i celebrated the end of school by making Elinor babysit while we went to see guardians of the galaxy, which was excellent.
