day 2 at the beach

today was wonderful. Very relaxing considering I brought my work along with me to the beach. THe kids let us "sleep in" until 7am. After I was woken up by a very loud baby I went out and made pancakes for everyone for breakfast. The kids ate a ton of them, being beach bums is hard work! After breakfast we went out with the kids and dad and went swimming in the pool. The kids are such water bugs! They loved it when it started raining really hard while we were swimming. The girls were all, its raining! WE need to go inside. They giggled when we told them that we were already wet so it was ok. After swimming we took wes for a nap and Grandpa took the girls to the beach. THe had a great time swimming with him! When they got back we waited for Wes to wake up and then Jon, Kristy and I went out. Mom, Dad, and Mimi and Pop had left earlier to go to lunch and grocery shopping. We went to a little fish place and had lunch. the food was ok, we at alligator kabobs! Jon and Kristy had oysters and we all had shrimp and scallops. AFter lunch we went over to dollar general and got snacks for dad. Then we stopped at mammaw's sno shack for snow cones. Later that afternoon kristy took the girls to the beach and they had a fun time running races and playing in the sand. home for more rest time and finally, right before dinner jon and dad took the kids swimming in the ocean. Wesley LOVED the waves and was quite fearless. End the day with a spaghetti dinner and we had an awesome day at the beach!
