Zoo!

This morning around 8:30 a friend from our MOPS group called us up and told us she was heading to the Nashville Zoo in about a 1/2 hour and did we want to come along. Evidently her friend who was supposed to come with her had a sick kid. We had nothing planned for the day so we said, "why not?" A quick breakfast and packing of lunches and we were out the door. I had a lot of fun talking with Carol on the way there and back and the kids were great! The Zoo was awesome. We were only able to cover about half of the zoo, so we may have to come back again another day. I had so much fun, what a neat unexpected adventure! Wesley really liked the fish and the snake that was moving in its tank in the rain forest house. Ella liked the Zebra's, the "King Julians" (ring tailed lemurs), the spiders and snakes and lizards, well pretty much everything. We got lucky and got to see the alligators get fed. We just happened to be at the exhibit when they started feeding them and it was really neat to see them get fed. I had a wonderful day.
