I got nothing

As I sit here to wright my post today I realize that I didn't take a single blog picture all day.  But since my goal was to do a blog a day for a year, not a picture a day i think I am safe.  Today has no pictures because it was pretty low key.  I went on a walk with mom and Jon and James, did meal planning and grocery shopping then I worked on editing pictures from my session saturday until it was time to make dinner and then go photograph Elinor's Derby team.  Elinor is still sick with Strep, so she didn't come with me.  It was fun to photograph the girls.  It was a good, but boring day.

Sunday

Yay! 2 whole weeks in the books! Today is Sunday. Elinor got sick yesterday so today Jon took her to urgent care while the rest of us went to church. Poor baby has bad strep throat. After church we all relaxed and then went to mom and dads for jons special birthday dinner. He requested a big ol pile of shrimp. He got what he asked for. I think mom made 6 different​  kinds of shrimp! Then it was time for birthday cake. I made a raspberry jello cake.

Saturday

Today was a super busy day. But a fun one! In the morning i got to go to a baptism. Then in the afternoon i had a photoshoot for a senior girl. It was the most beautiful weather. 74* on January 14th! The pictures went well and then i raced home to make dinner because we had our new friend over. They are here in Alabama for a few months and we had a great time getting to know them. Now to finish my lesson for tomorrow and the day is done.

Happy birthday jon!

Today is my honeys 36th birthday. We had a very nice day. He stayed home from work and we went out to lunch woth mom and dad. Went on a walk with james. Took a nap together when we got home. And after the big kids woke us up when they got home from school. Jon went on a 2 hour bike ride on his new bike. After i fed the kids dinner they went down to nana and grandpa's house. I took jon out to his favorite Vietnamese place for dinner. Then we went in a pokewalk at bridgestreet. Now we are  going to watch the new series of unfortunate events and go to bed. It was such a nice day.

Rough seas

Today was a tough day for me. It started out fine. James got up earlier than normal but was behaving fine. Then i decided to take him to shakalaka for some fun play time. We had a blast. Played dodge ball and then spent 25 min jumping into the foam put from a high place. Cue time to go home. The screaming began. I needed to head next door to bargain hunt to look for birthday presents and James is usually a great shopper. We got inside and he screamed that he didn't want to walk. He screamed because he didn't want to ride. He screamed because i went down the wrong aisle. Then when i finally gave up on shopping he screamed because i didn't buy him the dinosaur he had picked up. I was over it. I put him straight to bed 2 hours early because mommy needed a break. We had a good 20 min or so when he got put of bed (around the time he normally goes down) then he spent the rest of the day screaming about everything. Finally Jon came home while i was trying not to kill the baby while helping Elinor with her science project poster and stopping him from destroying it at the same time. Jon took him to the playground while i cooked dinner. Thank goodness. I don't think i could take anymore screaming.  Lets hope tomorrow is a better day.

Beautiful day

Today we had gorgeous weather. It was cloudy and gloomy, but it was blessedly WARM.  Mom and i decided to do our morning walk outside. We got the stroller and went on a walk in downtown madison and collected pokeballs. It was a nice change of pace. After our walk we went out shopping for birthday presents. All three of my boys have birthdays in the next couple of weeks. Them we went to moms house and made a really cool pikachu scripture case for Wesley's birthday. Pictures to come later. This afternoon i helped elinor with more science project work and took her to activity days. All in all a good day.

Science

Today i helped Elinor work on her science project. She is doing an experiment to see if our cats have a favorite color. We bought 4 cat toys that are exactly the same except the color. Elinor is lining the toys up then documenting which toy they go after. 2 of the cats are cooperating. The other one is pretending that the toys (and Elinor) don't exist.  Should have thought twice before​ letting her do an experiment with cats!
