Horseback riding and waterfalls!

Today we got up bright and early to make it to our 8:30 horseback ride.  We wanted to get an early start to beat the heat.  Unfortunately Dad and Kristy were too big and Evvie too small to go so we left them behind.  Mom and I drove in with the kids and got there just in time.  We all got assigned horses and got saddled up.  Then we went on a ride up to the edge of bryce canyon and along the rim and back. It was a beautiful ride.  The kids all loved their horses.  I really liked riding on the trail, even if it did hurt my butt!!  After the ride, we looked around the bakery next door and got some cookies then we headed back to camp to see the rest of the family.

While we were on our way back, we got a call from Kristy to see if we wanted to meet them at the bakery near the bakery!  We had somehow passed them on our way out.  They had gone on a little hike while we were riding, then came into town to meet us but had just missed us.  So we turned around and went right back and met up with them.  We looked around the rock shop, and then went across the street to do some old-timey photos!  They had a little "old west" photo shop and dad bought us a package.  Most of us had fun dressing up and doing the shoot.  I love the way the pictures turned out.

After our pictures were done we headed back to camp to get ready to go on a hike to a waterfall.  Dad, Kristy and Evvie had done the hike in the morning and really liked it.  The hike was pretty easy, and the water was fun to play in.  The grownups set up chairs in the water and enjoyed watching the kids play in the water.

After the hike we went back to camp and had dinner, then the grownups left the girls in charge of the kids and we went to go see a country music show in town.  The show was really good.  The audience was asleep I think, because they just sat there, so we made sure to make noise and let the band know they were doing a great job.  It was such a fun-filled day!
