Monday was a very nice day. We hung out at Laura's house, then we took the kids to the mall. Laura had told us that the mall had a small train that the kids could ride on. We managed to pick the correct entrance and the train was right there. It didn't open for an hour, so we let the kids play at the playground there for a while, then we walked around the mall. Once the train was open and ready we took the kids on a ride around the mall. Wes was THRILLED by the train and really enjoyed his ride. Ella liked it too. After the train we left the mall and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Carlson's house. We stopped on the way and had lunch at a nice mongolian grill. It was yummy! The kids slept on the way to Richmond and when we got their they had a great time meeting their great grandparents. We had a nice visit with them and in the evening we headed home. Laura got pizza for our little pizza monster for dinner and then we relaxed and watched a movie together. It was a nice day.
Tuesday stared out with a trip to "the treehouse" museum. It was an AMAZING kids hands on museum. I wish we had it in HSV, cuz it was awesome. The kids, (and I) had a great time playing with all the exhibits. I liked the stop motion movie exhibit the best, and Jon liked the building one the best. The kids liked everything. After the museum (we spent over 2 hours there which is a long time for my kids) we walked over to the distribution center and Laura got us some new garments for Christmas (THANKS LAURA!!) then home for lunch/naptime. I had to FORCE Wes to sleep, but he finally did and was much better for it. Jon spent the afternoon building an Igloo. It turned out awesome. He did a great job. It took him almost 5 hours to build it but it is a strong, usable igloo. He was very proud of himself. After he warmed up we headed out to a wonderful dinner at an Indian restaurant. The food was fabulous. The kids went right to bed when we got home and actually slept in till their usual time today! I am not sure what we have planned for today, but it should be fun!
