Mr. Fix-it

Today Jon played Mr. Fix-it when he got home from work. The stove stopped working yesterday so Jon poked around to figure out why, turns out that the plug had gotten caught on the back of the pull out drawer and when the drawer was pulled out the cord came unplugged. Yea! for easy fixes! Then he decided to tackle the "new" Washer/Dryer. We got it all attached and plugged in yesterday, and we thought we had it balanced, but when I ran a load the thing tried to walk out of the house! It was REALLY loud and most definitely not what was supposed to happen. So Jon did a little on-line research as to why it might do that and discovered several possible causes. Luckily for us, it was the easiest cause, the internal shipping bolts needed to be removed. The lady we got the set from told us about the bolts on the back of the machine, but not the ones inside the front panel. A quick removal of the offending bolts and the washer is running as smooth as silk! I am so excited about the progress we have made on the kitchen. Tomorrow is clean -out day and then Friday/Saturday is the rebuild. I hope we can get it all done then so we can relax on Monday!
I am so lucky to have such a clever handy husband. He takes after my dad.
