Ober Gatlinburg

Monday had the lowest forcast for rain for the week (30%) so we decided to head to Ober Gatlinburg for the day.  Mom didn't want to go so she stayed home with Jamie and they had a quiet day at the cabin.  The day dawned misty, but not rainy and I snapped a few more pictures from the front deck befor we headed out.  We got to the top of the mountain right around opening time and Dad bought us all the All day passes for the rides.  We started out with some of their water slides and the swings, then they opened the best attraction the Alpine slides so we headed up the ski lift to have our turn racing down the slides.  Most of us got on a tiny bit too early and the slides were still closed when we arrived at the platform so the people sent us up to the top of the mountain and back down again before we could go to back up to the slides.  We had tons of fun sliding and then we waited for the rest of our group at the bottom of the slides.  Luckily for us, it wasn't a boring wait as there were two great water slides there for us to play on.  Jon and Wes must have gone at least 10 times waiting for the rest of our group to show up.  After eveyrone was together again, we went to the parking lot for lunch.  We had brought sandwitches and chips and fruit.  Ella had started feeling bad shortly before lunch, and continued to worsen so Dad stayed inside the facility with her while she napped on a bench for a few hours.  We tried to switch off with dad, but he insited we go out and have fun, so we played in their Maze (hannah and I got the top times for the day!)  rode more water slides and the alpine slide a few more times  Went Mini-golfing and generally had a ton of fun!  We finished up for the day around 5 and headed back to the cabin where Mom and James had dinner ready for us  It was an awesome day, except for the aweful Sun burn I got!
