Ella wanted to learn how to use the grill so we decided to make ginger honey garlic chicken skewers and grilled asparagus. She did an awesome job. She was a bit scared of the fire of the grill but did a good job taking the skewers on and off.
Saturday we packed up the house and headed home. We stopped along the way to go to a giant flea market, where dad bought us lots of stuff, including a deep fried moon pie. (for the record, not as good as it sounds, way too overly sweet) Then it was home again- home again and back to life.
Friday Dad took us to the NASCAR racing complex. For a flat fee, you get a wrist band that lets you dothe go-karts, rides, mini-golf and climbing wall as much as you like. The little boys were only big enough to drive the cars on one track, but there were buddy cars all all the rest but one so they got to race fast with us also. The girls had fun conquering the climbing wall and we all enjoyed the mini-golf, even if the course was in a bit of disrepair. Mom, Jon and my boys went home after we had lunch at Steak-n-shake and the rest of us stayed behind for some more racing. It was a fun and exhilarating day!
