rope

A few weeks ago Jon took Wes on a walk and they found a cotton field. They picked some of the cotton and brought it home to show me and Ella. Then Jon discovered that he could make string out of it, and out of that string, he could make a rope. He spent several nights weaving his cotton rope until he had a very short, but very strong piece of homemade rope. It was C-O-O-L. He was out of cotton, so he did a little online research and found a way to make rope out of regular paper. So for the last little while he has been working on that. It looks really cool and it is hard to believe that it is made from nothing but printer paper. If we ever get stuck up high somewhere with a TON of paper and a LOT of time, we will eventually be able to escape down a rope, if we don't starve first!
