Labor day

Today was labor day, that means that Jon got to stay home from work! It was so nice to have a three day weekend. Today we spent the day with Mom and Dad. We went to the Botanicle Gardens to see the tree houses and the Scarecrows. We had a great time. Both kids were fabulously behaved even though we were there over 2 hours past naptime. Ella loved the butterfly garden and the tree houses and the scarecrows. I thought many of them were clever, some were stupid and one was a little... strange in the choice of subject matter. There was a Harry Potter one, (yea! Harry Potter) but it was the grave yard scene from the 4th book. They had a dead Cedric Diggory on the ground, a voldemort and a harry potter joined together by the spells from their wands and a bunch of tombstones. A little dark I think, for a Scarecrow display. Wes enjoyed himself a lot I think. He especially liked the water features and kept trying to jump into the koi pond. Jon was faster than him though, so we managed to keep him from going swimming. After the gardens, Dad took us out to a China Buffet for lunch, YUmmy! Then we all went back to Mom and Dad's house. Wes took a nap (only 3+ hours late) and Ella watched a movie. Mom was kind enough to watch the kids for us so that Jon and I could go see "The last airbender" It was an ok movie, story line was "meh" but the special effects were great. Now everyone is in bed and I am trying to get this done ASAP so I can join them. Back to our regularly scheduled week from here on out.
