Bowling with the Shafers

Today Mom and I took the Shafer kids bowling over on post. I still have a bunch of $0.50 games from earlier this summer and I don't want them to go to waste so I invited the whole family to come. Sister S wasn't feeling well so she stayed home with Sammy (3) and since Jon was home sick I left Wes (also sick) home with him. So we had 2 adults and 6 kids to bowl. We had a BLAST. All 6 kids were very well behaved and we had no problem getting 2 games in each. We used 3 lanes so that no one had to wait too long for their turn. Mom got us some pizza while we were there. (thanks mom!) So it was a very fun day. The down side was the soldier who inspected my van to get on post asked me if Spencer (14) was my kid. Nope dude, I am not that old yet! Mom went through the line after us and the soldier on her side asked if I was her daughter, and the soldier on the other side asked if Isaac was Spencer's twin. Yes, and No, Issac is only 12 but they do look a lot a like. It is nice to know that I look like my mother! When I was a kid I didn't really look like anyone in the family and I felt a little out of place. Not any more apparently.
