First day at the beach

Today was our first day on St. George Island.  We got here last night around 6pm local time after a 7 hour drive down from Alabama.  It was a pretty uneventful drive.  As soon as we arrived, we all pitched in to unload the trailer and van so we could be ready to relax.  Mom stuck the lasagna in the oven and it was ready to eat once we were all unpacked.  This morning, we were all excited to be back in St. George.  The kids all got up really early.  I had forgotten James swim hat in Al, so I ran to the store and grabbed him a new one before we headed to the beach for the morning.  James LOVED the water and thought throwing the sand was the best thing ever!  He played on the beach/in the water with me for at least an hour before getting tired.  So I left the big kids with the other grownups and took James back home.  We jumped into the pool for a few min and found Grandma May there.  We played for about 30 min and then James was DONE,  I gave him some lunch, then he collapsed in bed for a long nap.  in the afternoon, it was time for more swimming and beaching and general relaxation.  It was a great first day at the beach!!
