Today Jon and Dad installed all the bathroom fixtures. They put in the toilet, shower head, new vanities and tops, faucets and all the plumbing that goes along with that. While they were busy working, Mom and I were busy shopping. Jon really wanted a dresser for our new room, since we got married we have been using rubermaid plastic drawers for our clothes and Jon wanted something a little more... grown-up for our new room. Mom and Dad decided to get him one for his birthday so we went on a thrift store hunt. After about 7 stores, we finally found a nice set at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Huntsville. It was a full bedroom set, but the manager was willing to separate the pieces. We got a Broyhill dresser and Chest of Drawers for $250, which compared to the other stuff we looked at today was a steal! We got them loaded up and brought them home. Originally we were thinking to put the dressers in the closet, but they fit so nicely into the room on the back wall we decided to keep them out and just add more shelving to the closet. After the plumbing was done for the day, Jon and I worked another hour or two and got the last two shelves put up in the closet. It is amazing how much space is in there!

Since it was such a nice day, the kids played outside for quite a while. Ella got to practice shooting the basketball she got for Christmas, she is pretty good for a squirt!
