Thanksgiving point

Today Laura took us down by Salt Lake CIty to Thanksgiving point.   It is a museum complex with lots of museums to go to.  We grabbed some lunch down there before going in, then grabbed our tickets and started to explore.  We started in the butterfly biome, which is so much more than a butterfly garden.  They had a great little museum all about bugs with lots of hands-on exhibits.  The butterfly garden was super nice with tons and tons of butterflies to watch and lots of friendly butterflies to hold and have land on you too!

After the butterfly biome, we went to the museum of ancient life where we saw all kinds of fossils and learned about dinosaurs and how their fossils were created and found.

Next was the farmhouse where we got to feed and pet the farm animals.  The two little ones also got to ride a pony, which they really liked.

our last stop for the day was the museum of curiosity, which is a hands on discovery museum for kids.  They had a huge variety of exhibits that were all super fun for the kids.  Evvie especially liked teh water room, james loved the ball vacuum tubes, Wes loved the music room, and Ella had fun with it all.  I wish we had had more time there, but everyone was exhausted by the time we got there so we didnt' stay more than an hour or two.

After we pooped out at the museums we drove home and grabbed some pizza for dinner along the way.  It was a super fun filled day!
