On the way to Yellowstone

Today we left mt. Rushmore and headed towards Yellowstone. We had a really long drive ahead but we found a nice little cattle drive museum to stop st to stretch our legs. They had a taxidermy conjoined calf, and a lot of rocks and arrowheads and cowboy stuff. The museum was about the Cowboys who drive their cattle up from Texas to ship them east on the rail lines in Wyoming.

We also stopped at a Walmart to get some provisions and things we were running low on.  In the mountain pass we stopped at a viewing turn off thing to see snow! On June 22nd! We were almost 10,000 ft above sea level. The kids had fun throwing snowballs for a few min. Evvie didn't like the cold. Me neither.

When we finally got to our campground on the other side of Wyoming we got set up as quickly as possible. We decided for speed and ease we would put all 4 tents on the same site. Once we were all set up i made dinner. It was 9 can soup or something like that and it was delicious. During and after dinner  we had a comedy show and everyone told jokes. Evvie wanted to get into the action so she started getting up and saying gibberish then laughing at herself.  She thought she was pretty hilarious. Then she heard the interrupting cow joke and latched on to that one. She kept telling it and finally got the timing right. It was incredibly adorable. That was about all we did today tomorrow we arrive at Yellowstone.
