Tonight the kids helped me make Pizza Balls for dinner. James was excellent at flattening the dough... not so good at closing it up after the pepperoni and cheese were added, so he and Wesley used team work to get their share done. They turned out awesome, and we all had a great dinner.

Working with Nana
Today the pictures I was supposed to take were postponed till memorial day, so we had some free time. We went shopping with Nana, did some sewing work and played. James is really into books right now and he wasn't pleased that nana was playing with her embroidery machine instead of reading to him.
He really wanted to read "The Bunny Book". This book is special because it belonged to my Grandpa (the one James is named after) when he read the book to us (Peter Rabbit) he would always change Mr. Mcgreggor's garden to Mr. Warner's Garden. Nana always does the same thing when she reads the book.

Dr. Appointment and nesting
Today I had my 30 week Dr. appointment. It went well, blood pressure good, baby heartbeat good, measurements good... and out the door with a flu shot. Man, the flu shot burned this year! On my way home I stopped to look at baby stuff, and I found a great deal on some cube organizers. I happen to love those things, when we bought this house I got one for each of the kids rooms. Now we have some for Evie too. They didn't have any 2x8 shelves, like the other kids have, so she gets 2 2x3 shelves instead. When I got home and picked up Jamie, we went home and he helped me put them together. now we just have to get the room figured out. Jon wants to put a twin bed in there for late nights with the baby, so we have to see how everything fits.

Brother Soh's Ukulele
Today for singing time I arraigned for Brother Soh to come in and help us with a primary program review. Bother Soh plays the Ukulele and he prepared a bunch of primary songs to sing with us. It was Wonderful! The kids had a great time, and sang so very very well!

Birthday Party and selling things
This morning the kids were all invited to the birthday party of a friend from church. They had a blast playing in the water toys. After the party, we went home and jon left to help a new family move in to their house, then I left with mom to set up our table to see keychains while Dad took Wesley to our friends baptism. It was a busy day!

Let's Play!
Today we were scheduled to meet with a friend and play at "let's play" but they called after we got there that their baby was throwing up so they couldn't' make it. James and I had fun anyway. We love this place. After we were done, we stopped at WalMart and found they had a BUNCH of amazing clearance toys. We wandered around for a while looking at everything. It was a fun morning.

Totality
Today was the day of the "Great American Eclipse" We got up early, had breakfast and then headed up to Athens Tenn to see the Eclipse. Our hotel was about 40 min from the park we planned to go to. Turned out, they were having an event for the Eclipse and there were tons of people there, but we still got a decent parking spot and a great spot to set up our canopy and chairs. We spent the next few hours hanging out and playing games. I made a homemade solar filter for my camera and with dad and Jon's help, got it set up to try and take pictures of the eclipse. Once the eclipse started, we got some pictures and looked at the sun though our glasses. James was fascinated by the whole thing and kept going on and on about the "Moon eating the sun". Finally it was time for the big moment, totality. Right before the moon fully covered the sun, the whole park started cheering then WOOSH the shadow raced in and the sun went out. The atmosphere was amazing.360* sunset, streetlights on, bugs chirping and the black hole of the sun with the shining corona around it. The whole family was Awestruck. I managed to get a few pictures of the totality, then after way to short a time, the moon moved on and the sun was back. It was AWESOME. After totality, many people started to leave, and we figured traffic would be really bad so we hung out another hour or two before packing up. We decided to use a little more time and visit the Mayfield Dairy for some ice cream to give the roads some more time to clear. We ended up hitting a bit of traffic, it took us an hour longer to get back to Chattanooga than it should have, but the trip wasn't bad. We finally got back to Hsv around 9ish and we stopped at the Krispie Kreme to get some eclipse doughnuts. It was a great end to a marvelous day.

I can be happy
Today the Nursary kids learned about feelings, especially about how they can be happy. They made cute little puppets. James loved his and carried it around all the rest of the day. After dinner, we all packed up into the van and drove to Chattanooga to go see the total solar eclipse tomorrow. I am so excited to see this once-in-a-lifetime event!

Game night
Tonight after dinner I promised the kids I would play a board game with them. They picked "King of Tokyo" . We had fun playing. I killed Wes, but Elinor killed me so she won. I love playing with my kiddo's.
