movie time

Here are some cute movies from biking.

bikes!

Wesley got a tricycle for his birthday, he LOVES it! He can't really use the peddles, but he likes to push it around with his feet on the ground. It is so cute to see the huge grin on his face as he races around the cul-de-sak. Ella out grew her bike, so I found a really nice used one at the local thrift store for $8! She thinks her new bike is great. Now if only I could get her to ride without the training wheels. The weather has been so nice here lately that I have been letting the kids ride their bikes just about every afternoon. It gives mommy a good time to talk to her sister!

Work it girl!

When Ella feels like doing pictures, she is an AWESOME model. She really knows how to work it, and gives a great variety. Most of the time, Ella does NOT feel like doing pictures, but on Kerri's last day here we caught her on a good day and she hammed it up. We wanted to get some pictures of the kids with Kerri (and Eric) so we all dressed up and headed over to the greenway. Wes was not interested at all in doing pictures, although during the first pose he did pretty good and kept trying to copy Ella, it was cute watching him try to cross his legs and put his foot up just like sissy. After the first pose, he just hung out with Eric and tossed rocks in the creek. I am so glad that we were able to have a great visit with my Sister. I will miss her so much. She left this morning to return to NZ. Hopefully it won't be another 2 years before we see her again.

A funny/cute story about Wes I meant to share

So, when we were in Utah visiting Jon's family we spent one afternoon at his sisters house. Her 6 year old Jackson told Wes that Wes was a baby and babies say "Goo-goo Ga-ga" Wes looked at Jackson and said "You say Goo-goo Ga-ga" Then Jackson pointed at Wes and said "No YOU say Goo-goo Ga-ga." Wes thought this was hilarious and they stood at the top of the stairs pointing at each other and saying this for a good couple of min. Ever since then, Wes will occasionally point at someone and say "YOU goo-go Ga-ga" This person is expected to repeat this to Wes for an indeterminate amount of time. Wes especially likes to play this game with Eric. One day in the car, Wes was pointing to each of us in turn and telling us that WE were Goo-goo Ga-ga. We started saying it back and all at once by chance, three of us pointed to him and said it quite loud. Instead of smiling and continuing the game Wes got a super sad look on his face and covered his eyes and said in the Saddest voice ever. "Ya-NO" We all felt super bad. Evidently HE was definitely NOT Goo-goo Ga-ga.

Spirited art and the Y

We have been having so much fun with Kerri and Eric visiting. It has been a BLAST! On Thursday Mom, Kerri and I had a girls night out at a local painting studio called "Spirited Art" We were supposed to go with Kristy the week before but they canceled it because of "ice". Sad that Kristy couldn't come. We stopped by Cheeburger Cheeburger first and got come milk shakes and then we went over to start our class. We were painted "Bird in flight" I had so much fun, I didn't think it would be as simple as it was. It was great fun talking to my bestest friends and making something. None of us followed the directions exactly, we wanted to use our own colors. I think all of them came out great!

On Friday I took the kids and Kerri and Eric to the "Y" to go swimming. They have a great swimming pool, but even better is their splash pool. They have so many fountains and waterfalls and other splashy things. We had a lot of fun playing in the water. We stayed just over a hour, then Wes was shivering too badly and we had to go. After swimming, Dad took us all to Sakura for lunch, Eric had never been to a hibachi grill. Ella had great fun explaining the whole thing to him step by step. She was a great little tour guide for her favorite restaurant.
