Karate Tournament!

Today Ella competed in the Alexander's Martial Arts closed tournament. There were 7 kids in her division. She competed in Forms where she did "Universal 1" and in point sparring. Forms were up first and she ended up scoring 4th place. They had first and second place trophies, and then the rest of the kids got third place trophies, so Ella got a 3rd place trophy for Forms. After Forms it was time for Point sparring. Each bout went to 5 points, two points for a kick and one point for a punch with a pause after each point scored. Ella won her first bout, and lost her second so she got to fight in a third bout for 3rd or 4th place. She won that last bout, getting 5 points without being touched by the other girl! I am so proud of how hard she worked and her great perseverance in the sparring. She really earned that 3rd place trophy! I am so very very proud of my baby girl!
