Tonight it was so cute, after I sent the kids to bed, I could hear laughing and talking coming from the boys room. I went over to scold them, but when I discovered Wesley laying down in James' bed reading bedtime stories to him, I didnt' have the heart to scold. I told them to finish their book and go to bed. With all the fighting those two do, it was nice to see them having fun together, and especially to see Wesley reading without being told!

horizon Hustle
Today was the big kid's school annual fundraiser. The kids run laps for money. My kids like me to come watch, so I brought my camp chair and sat out in the sun for 2 hours so they would feel loved. James came with me and enjoyed watching his siblings run, and even running a few laps with them! We ran into a few of our friends, and James had fun playing with one of his church friends.

So much Kakamora!
Today I worked really hard on Elinor's Kakamora costume. I got the coconut part painted, and I made the shell hat. I ended up staying up late to paint the shell hat after it dried. I am so proud of my work!

Hanging out with friends
Today we had a photoshoot with some of our favorite friends. Charley was a fantastic model, he was so well behaved and we got some fantastic shots. After the pictures were done, we all went to lunch at chick-fil-a together. It was such a nice day.

OBGYN and Kakamora
Today I had an OB appt. Since James is sick, I had to take him with me instead of leaving him to play with friends. He was extremely well behaved and charmed all the nurses. After the appt, we stopped at the craft store to get some supplies for my current project, a Kakamora costume for Elinor. I have the basic paper mache framework done, now it is time for fine tuning and painting. I am excited about this one, it is going to be so cool!

Shopping and dr.
Today James and I went to the largest local kids consignment sale before we did our regular shopping. I got a great deal on a Sit and Stand stroller and infant carseat. I have been wanting to get a sit and stand for James and Evie, so I am excited about that. I also got some bottles, and some clothes for evie. During our grocery shopping, James started to whine and cry that his head hurt, and during lunch with Jon, he barely ate and spent most of the time lying down on the bench so after we got home I made him a Dr. appt. He came out Negitive for Strep, but there are sores on his throat, so he may have hand/foot/mouth. Bummer. Little guy was so tired all afternoon.

Cupcakes for Space Camp
i am so incredibly proud of Elinor. This year Elinor is in 6th grade, and in our area that means a fabulous 5 day field trip to SPACECAMP. The down side is that the field trip is $502 to go. With Jon going back to school, a new baby coming, and Kerri's wedding in New Zealand we just couldn't swing the fee. Elinor wasn't going to let that stop her, she decided to pay for it herself. $502 is a LOT of money for an 11 year old. She decided to make and sell cupcakes to earn the money. I donated the cake mix and frosting and Elinor baked 30 dozen cupcakes all by herself (over the course of 2 weeks). Then she knocked on 100's of our neighbors doors and sold the cupcakes for $1/each. I followed her in my van to carry the cupcakes and make sure she didn't get kidnapped but she approached each and every door on her own and sold her little heart out. She ran into LOTS of very generous people who bought her cupcakes, or just donated money to her fund. After 2 weeks, she has earned the full amount she needed and she gets to go to spacecamp next year!

Park with friends
This morning, instead of cleaning the house for the luau, James and I went to the park to play with friends. James and his friend were so cute playing together!
Luau
Tonight Jon and I hosted the Ward Luau at our home. I think about 200 people came! there were a lot more people than I expected. Our home teacher, who happens to be Hawaiian cooked a pig in a pit in out back yard. It was awesome! He also did some ukulele songs and a sister taught some hula moves. The kids got to play in Dad's bubble machine, and at the end, we watched Moana on an outdoor movie screen. It was so much fun and I think the whole ward loved it.
