Wednesday I had a little end of the year party for my German class. I made and bought them a bunch of different German food/snacks and we ate german food, had a quick lesson and then played games. I am going to miss Chad, who is going to High School next year so won't be in my class anymore. But I love my girls, and am excited to have one last lesson with them this year next week.
We had apple cake
German bread with paramean encrusted slaami
WeissWurst Bratwursts
German style chocolate pudding (one of my favorite desserts my host mother made in Germany)
Dad bought tickets to take the kids to Disney on ice. A friend of mine on Rocket City Mom was giving away a meet and greet experience and we got on the list so we arrived early to meet Cinderella before the show! We got there at 5:15 and went to see Cinderella at 5:30.
After seeing Cinderella, we got some food from the concessions and had dinner while waiting for Dad to come and for the show to begin.
Dad got there just as the show started and we settled in to watch. We started off with the story of the princess and the frog. The skating was fantastic. It was really cool to watch them soar around the ice.
After the princess and the frog, it was time for cinderella.
There was a short intermission in the middle of Cinderella where grandpa got the kids some popcorn. Then the end of the show began with the rest of Cinderella and finally, Rapunzel! They did some fantastic aerial work with Rapunzel's "hair" that was my favorite part of the show!
At the very end of the show they had all the Disney princesses come out with their princes in beautiful white dresses.
It was an amazing show, and a very fun evening with my Dad and kids.
