Wesley has been trying very hard this week to learn how to walk. He is really good at taking 2-5 steps at a time before falling, and can stand unassisted for quite a long time. He can't wait to be a big boy! Ella is great with him and is always makeing him walk to her. She loves that he loves her. She does not love when he messes up her games, but she forgives him easily. Wes is a little sick right now, has the same cough that I do. I hope it goes easier for him than it has for me. He is a sweetheart though, and a joy to be around. I am so thankful that both my kids are great sleepers. We are really looking forward to Thanksgiving! I am in charge of the pies again this year. Pumpkin and something else I think.

On the 20th we took the kids to the local outdoor mall to see the annual Christmas tree lighting. We missed the actual lighting part, but the tree was beautiful! We also got to see Santa.
Waiting in line to see Santa
Wes lets Santa hold him!!
Ella says, "I liked Santa, I didn't cry because I like him."
Yesterday, Wesley WALKED!! He took two steps from the couch to me, and later did it once more. Of course he wouldn't do it once Jon got home, but I am so excited! Great job Wesley-boy!
Wesley had is 9 month appointment today he was 21 lbs 4 oz 60%. 30 inches tall 90%. and is head is 46cm or 18.1in around 60%. He is healthy, strong and TALL. He got a flu shot today and didn't even cry! It was a great appointment
Ella loves to play with Wesley, as long as he is doing what she wants!! Here is Ella trying to convince Wes to crawl into the toy with her. and here she is dragging him in against his will and her success, however brief! Wesley attempting to escape and Wesley succeeds!
Here is a picture of Kitzel, or as Ella has informed me, his WHOLE name is Kitzel Bitzel Cookie Noel Kugler playing with his favorite toy, a "mimsy" doll from "the last mimsy" tied to a stick.
i have mentioned before that Ella LOVES to take pictures, a girl after my own heart I think. The last couple of days she has been borrowing my camera and filling it will lots of "interesting" pictures. Mostly of the floor, wall, and fixtures of the house. But mixed in with those there were some interesting shots. I think she has a future in the photog business! here is some of her work.

Kitzel- evidently a favorite subject
Wesley, another favorite subject when she can catch him.
Once a year I steel my nerves and attempt to take family portraits of my own family. In most of our pictures I set up the tripod and self timer and looked ridiculous running back and forth before giving up in a heap of exhaustion. This year my lovely mother helped me out by being a "living tripod" I set up the camera and the shot, told her what I wanted and then let her click away as I tried to get my family to pose like I wanted them to. This year It worked pretty well. We got several great shots, lots of personality shots and tons of pictures that I just love. I want to share, but be warned, there are almost 30 pictures contained in this post!
Family shots This is my very favorite
