Nov 30th was to be our last day in our old house. The kind new owners were nice enough to offer to let us stay a few extra days because of the fire, but we wanted to get it done. Jon rounded up a few boys from church to help him empty the shed out back and the back yard and haul away all the junk we didn't want anymore. They were an amazing help and we got it done super quick! After every nook and cranny were empty of our stuff, we swept and cleaned a bit to get ready to hand over the keys. It is a strange feeling after 6 and a half years we no longer live in this house. I am excited for our new home, but sad to close this chapter in our lives.
My Fantastic Sunday School class got together today and helped me move the rest of our stuff out of our house. I spent the morning packing and taped up the last box just as they pulled in the drive to start loading up. They were incredibly hard workers and we got the house emptied out in no time!
We passed our insulation inspection so now it is time to start drywall! We also have to finish packing up the old house this weekend so we are a bit swamped. We had a lot of help from some friends to unload the drywall and move our piano.
