Today the boys put up the stud walls in the Garage, it is starting to really look like rooms now! We also packed some stuff up from the old house and got it moved in.
Today was another full day of work for Dad and Jon. They layed down decking on the floor, raised a door and basically did a bunch of stuff to the garage. They also had the help of our friend Shawn for a few hours. I got my Sunday School student Zach to come help me paint the kids rooms and they turned out great! The renovation is really coming along!
Jon finished the Demo on the garage over the week and Saturday he and Dad started on the building portion of the project. They started work on getting the floor raised and leveled and did other renovation-y stuff.
Most of the pictures are on Nana's camera, but I got a few on mine, we had lots of fun at the Ward Trunk-or-treat. I don't seem to have a picture of our leopard Ella, but Wesley made a wonderful black cat, and my Zombie Hermione was a hit with the big kids!
My friend Megan wanted to go on a field trip with her older son, so Wesley's friend Levi came to spend the day with us. The boys had a BLAST playing at Nana's house in Grandpa's playground.
After the excitment of the fire this morning, we set fans to run in the house to help with the smoke smell and headed over to the new house to start Demo. I went to Home Depot first, to get some contractor grade garbage bags and met Jon and Dad at the house. Our plan for the day was to take out the cabinates and table and remove as much drywall as possible so we can add wiring, plumbing and insulation later. WE did a pretty good job, got almost all the demo done between 11 and 4. Ella was a great helper. She rode her bike back and forth between our house and Moms fetching tools all day. She also helped me change the locks on the doors and helped clean up the drywall mess. Wesley had lots of fun helping break down the walls but lost interest when asked to clean up so he spent a lot of time with Nana hanging out. I helped as much as I could while being pregnant and Dad and Jon just rocked it out. I am so happy with how much we got done! We are planning on finishing the rest of the drywall demo over the week and start framing in the raised floor on friday.
