For the past few summers my mom and I have made dorky family reunion t-shirts for our annual trip to Florida. This year we kept is simple, one color, no applique. We managed to get them all (14) done ahead of schedule!
Kristy and I took the girls to the Space and Rocket center. The girls were super excited to try out the mars climbing wall. They both did excellent at it trying both easy and medium runs. Ella forgot her closed toe shoes, but luckily she and Brenna are the same size and Brenna was willing to share her tennis shoes.
This summer Mom and Dad got Wesley some swim lessons at the YMCA. He did a really good job, not swimming yet, but much more comfortable in the water. His teacher, Ms. Hillary was very nice and did a wonderful job.
Saturday we decided to do something special for Breakfast, we had a Coupon for "Paradise Doughnuts" so we went and had a decidedly unhealthy, but delicious breakfast together.
This year for CAD, we invited our friend Marissa to come with us. She had graduated from her Wheelchair, to a walker and finally to crutches over the last few months. She is doing great and we had lots of fun getting free food with her! For dinner, we went back to Chick-fil-a with Daddy and got more free food. Jon is such a good sport to dress up with us! We love Cow Appreciation day!
Thursday we took Ella to the Bowling Alley to practice for her Bowling Lesson Homework. She did an amazing job, even got a strike! We met some friends there and the grownups bowled too. Wes had lots of fun playing with Isabell, they had fun bowling together and watching videos on the Ipad.
With our new summer passes we took advantage of the free summer movies at the S&R center and got to see "Wall-E" after the Movie they have a special Science class for the pass holders. Today, to go with the movie, we planted seeds. We got some Earth seeds, and some space seeds, we planted them in a little cup and if they grow, we can see if there is a difference in they way they do! After the class, we went back to the imagination room where we played with snap circuits last time. This time they had a different activity out, some straws with connectors to put together a 3-D sculpture. It was a fun toy to play with, we all made something on our own.
