Today I sanded and painted all the walls that were finished being mudded. Then Dad hung the crown molding where he could. The difference those two things made in the look of the room is staggering! it really looks like a room now! Dad also painted the rest of the molding and Jon and I bought the flooring for the room to be installed tomorrow. Jon spent the rest of the evening getting the rest of the mudding done. We are getting so CLOSE!!! Dad ended the day by starting my custom Spice rack for my new kitchen. The fantastic one he built me during our kitchen reno had to stay behind with the old house so I am getting a new one. I can't wait to have easy access to my spice collection again!
Some daylight pictures of the new front of the house.
Every year Dad takes the kids and us to the Huntsville Botanical Garden's Galaxy of Lights display. The kids love it and are always excited to see the lights. They might be getting to big to sit on Nana's lap though!
Today I sanded the wall with the windows and painted it the accent color brown we chose, I also painted lots of trim. Dad was super busy and he primed and painted the front of the house and hung the shutters. He also prepared the laundry room wall for our hanging cabinets and with Jon's help, hung the first cabinet on the wall. Jon did more mudding once he got home from work. We got so much done today!
