today after breakfast and camp clean up (we have to pack up all food and food related items before leaving camp because of bears) we headed across the park to go see old faithful. It was like 60 miles away, so a long drive. We got there 45 min before it was supposed to go off next, so nana and the kids grabbed some benches. ti was very very cold and rainy, so i took evvie on a walk to the lodge nearby and we stood in line to get some hot cocoa to share. Grandpa joined us and we got our treat just as the geyser started to go off, so we rushed outside and watched the show, then met up with nana and kristy and the kids to share our spoils.
Watching the geyser is so cool! After we were done at old faithful, we had lunch and went to see some more geyser fields. there was a river near the geysers and the kids went wading again, even though it was freezing.
Then home for dinner. We made calzones on the hibachi grill, and they turned out amazing!
I sure hope it is warmer tomorrow, because I am dying out here!
