My kind of weather!

today was Gorgeous! The sky was cloudy, but the air was warm. The kids played outside most of the day. Kristy and I spent over an hour on the trampoline with the girls bouncing, running and singing. We had a blast! It was a pretty good day for Ella, Wes on the other hand was still feeing awful. He whined, cried, moaned and complained the whole day. Finally around 2:30 I couldn't' take it anymore so I called and made him a Dr's appointment. We went and the Dr said that he was fine except he was very dehydrated. He said that he would probably perk right up if he could get hydrated. He was very concerned that Wes hadn't pee'd since yesterday and told us to try to get him to drink as much Gatorade as we could. He said that if Wes didn't pee by 8pm we needed to take him to the ER to get fluids. Jon did a great job of getting Wes to drink, and thankfully, Wes peed around 6:30 so we didn't have to make a trip to the ER. Wes seems to be feeling better now that he has drunk some, but he is still not 100% I hope that I can get him to drink more tomorrow.
Tomorrow Dad is taking the girls and Kristy up to Dollywood for an overnight trip. Ella is super excited. I hope that she has fun and that she obeys Kristy and dad.

another sick day

The kids are still not feeling 100% so we had another sick day around here. We did spend some time with our visiting family and the kids enjoyed piling onto their Uncle Chris to watch Dispicible me.

Sick... again

Wes is feeling poorly again. He has an upset stomach and a fever. Evidently this is going around. Because he was so unwell, Jon stayed home from church with him today. After Church Ella started feeling bad too. She threw up a few times, which is especially horrible because my sister and her family arrived here tonight and Ella can't wait to see her cousin. If the kids are not feeling better, they won't get to play with their cousins tomorrow. :(

Ward christmas party

Today was the Ward Christmas party. We had a brunch, then a short Christmas program and last, crafts and activities for the kids. Ella and Wes had a great time decorating cookies, makeing a reindeer craft and having their face painted. It was a success of a party. After the party we came home and relaxed while the kids napped. In the evening we went to a friend's Christmas party. We had a nice time there as well, and Ella was in her element entertaining all the old people. We are all very excited for Christmas coming up!

Galaxy of Lights

Every year our local Botanical Gardens has a "Galaxy of Lights" which is a drive though tour with Christmas lights all around. It is the Gardens big fund raiser for the year, and the kids love it. We have gone every year we have lived here. Today we went out to dinner at Tommy's pizza on bridge street and then met up with Dad to go through the lights. Wes LOVED the lights and put a bunch of finger prints on my windows pointing at all of them. Ella really enjoyed watching and telling us what all the different things were. It was a fun activity.

Kinder Eggs are so cool. As I mentioned in a previous post, my family in Germany sent me a advents calendar for Christmas. Mine is a Kinder Egg one, I love them so much! They taste awesome (although I was sad to discover that they are 6 weight watchers points each!) and they each have a cute little toy in them. Some of the toys are dumb, but some are really cool and make you wonder how they managed to fit ALL THAT into one tiny egg. Today we got a toy airplane out of the egg.
