Karate

Today i went back to karate for the first time in weeks. I have been feeling so sick, especially in the evenings and have been so tired that i havnt been able to go. But now that it is summer, elinor can watch james while i go to the day time class since i feel better in the mornings. I was hard, but i got through class so it was good. This evening elinor had derby, they did a full on scrimmage and ellagator was awesome.

Swimming and chick fil a

Today i let elinor get in the pool under the condition she watch james. I didnt want to get in the water it was way too cold. I worked with mom while they swam. For lunch the boys and i went to chick fil a. Elinor had to stay home. It was rough for all of us but i think the meaning of "grounded" is sinking in.

No electronics makes for a long day..

Today was shopping day, so not too bad but still felt long with both the big kids having punishments. I made them play with james all morning, which he loved. In the afternoon they helped me shop and had lunch with jon. 

Lazy sunday

Today was pretry low key. Well except Elinor threw a tantrum at church over where on the pew she was sitting and had to be taken home. The result was 3 days no ele tronics for wesley (who started the fight) and a week of full on grounding for elinor for escalating so much. This put a damper on our afternoon and will make this week much harder but it had to be done. Aftwr dinner with mom and dad since we couldnt watch tv we all played pass the pigs which was fun.

Trapped!

Today was mom and dads 40th anniversary! They invited jon and i out for lunch and to an escape room experience. Jon had gotten one for dad for christmas and they had a great time. Dad wanted to do it again with us girls too. This time we did their "clue" themed room. It was really fun. We lost with just seconds to spare. We all worked together really well and it was cool. I think we will definitely go back again.

Nanas pool is ready for the summer!

Today after much begging i took the kids down to try out nanas pool for the first time this summer. It was COLD but the kids didnt seem to mind. I was too smart to get in. Brrrrr.

Botanical gardens with friends

Today elinor was invited to spend the day with her friend piper at her grandmothers house. They have a pool there and they were going to spend the day in the water. Since elinor got to do something special, i took the boys to the botanical gardens to play in the water features there. We met up with some friends from church and ended up staying about 2 hours. We brought a picnic lunch with us and it was a really nice time. While we were all out having fun, job was at the dentist getting surgery on his gums! We tried to keep away most of the day so he could rest.
